Probate and Estate Administration

Guardianships

When a Loved One Passes Away

Our firm will help you understand and negotiate the probate process step by step. We have 30 years of experience in the administration of large and small estates.

Our staff will guide you in the identification and liquidation of assets, the satisfaction of estate obligations, and the preparation and filing of necessary tax returns and legal documents to settle the estate as promptly as possible.

Many law firms charge a percentage of the total estate. We, however, bill our regular hourly rate and itemize all services.

When a will is contested or an executor/adminstrator is challenged:

We always attempt to resolve disputes between beneficiaries and heirs-at-law amicably and expeditiously to avoid unnecessary costs to the estate.

When that isn't possible, we aggressively and thoroughly represent our client's interests in the Surrogate's Court.

When a Loved One Becomes Unable to Handle His or Her Own Affairs

When a family member has not made provision for care in the event of his or her diminished capacity, we can also assist you with the guardianship process.
